You will want to have cash when traveling to Mexico. Sayulita is a small town and many locals do not accept credit cards, with the exception of a few restaurants and gift shops. There are several ATMs in Sayulita, but the town does not have a bank. An average ATM transaction is between 30-100 pesos, when they have money. But you cannot necessarily count on ATMs actually having money in them, so be sure to have a backup. There are several Sayulita exchange services with rates roughly comparable to the airport.

Surf boards, boogie boards, and snorkel equipment can be rented at several places on the Sayulita beach. Motorized water sports are available at limited concessionaires. Our concierge can make arrangements for you.

Yes, there is a 24/7 medical clinic at the town plaza. If someone is too ill or too injured to go to them, they will come to you. There is also a hospital in San Francisco, which is only 4 miles up the main highway. Doctors run several of the pharmacies in town if you just need advice or even prescription medicine.

Q.Does Mexico have scorpions?


A.

Yes, but we do spray on a monthly basis and therefore see very few. The key is prevention. Always shake out clothes and bath towels before putting them on or near your body. Follow a few tips on your Sayulita, Mexico vacation to avoid them. Scorpions like dark damp places, so wear flip flops at night, and always shake out closed-toe shoes like tennis shoes before putting them on.
